And.. Debbie has left the building!

So.. it has been a bit of a rough couple weeks. Grief has sat fairly heavily on us, although Logan is hiding it maybe a bit too well. He's been throwing himself into the projects we needed to get done by winter to avoid, but is getting more stressed out because of them. It's been a rough couple of weeks.

With that said, our paddock has had brush piles burnt, using tractors to move more stuff into the fires, and ATV sprayer to make sure they didn't get out of control in the dry fall weather, and... Loki the WatchPoodle, hard at work supervising!

We may have run into a couple SNAFUs with the animal neighbors- you should've seen the way Logan can leap off a tractor and jump a fence!! Those white-face hornets are NOT KIDDING!!

We also got it graded, raked, and seeded.. although I am having nightmares about the heavy rains we got today after seeding Sunday.. I hope it doesn't all get washed away!! But here's what it looks like now! Looks like a new place, right??
Logan working hard with the boxblade to grade it correctly and till up weed roots!

We have also got an arena with an almost complete sub-base! They had to do some work with a dozer to get it levelled, and we have a compactor coming in to tamp it down, but then the geotextile goes on and.. The base and footing are going in! Big things, One Birch Farm, big things!!!

We also got stall mats and siding complete in the left side stall- the right side needs a bit more grading before it gets stall mats, but.. eh.. we've been busy.

Also- just for funsies. And because I think they're so cute!
Loki waits patiently in the excavator ruts for dinner

Mom, I thought you said, "Trunk" not "Truck"!!

Paradise.
